Following the Public meeting convened in Goolwa on the January 15, 2009 at which the Hon Karlene Maywald MP, Minister for the River Murray spoke along with experts in the field of PASS and the Lower Lakes, including Andrew Beale, Water Security Advisor and Dr Rob Fitzpatrick, leading soil biogeochemistry researcher for the CSIRO.

We fully support the Option C as proposed in the Department for Water, Land and Biodiversity discussion paper "Options for managing acidification risk and establishing a freshwater ecological refuge in the Goolwa Channel and tributaries" dated January 12, 2009.
